What is amnestic/amnesiac?
Amnestics are drugs that medically induce amnesia, many SCP writers will wrongly write amnesiac, which is a person who has been administered amnestics. There are generally 3 classes of amnestics, Class C, Class B and Class A. Class A amnestics are the strongest, used to wipe entire lives from memory, and Class C are the weakest, used to wipe a day from memory, or even just a few hours.
What are these other object classes? What is an explained?
There are a near infinite amount of object classes, because there is no one canon for the whole SCP wiki. But generally, an SCP with the object class Explained is an SCP that has been explained by mainstream science and logic.
Why are there SCPs with a J at the end?
If an SCP has a “-J” at the end (including but not limited to SCP-420-J, SCP-096-J, and many more), it means that the SCP is a joke and shouldn’t be taken seriously. This doesn’t mean that when you’re writing one that you should just get lazy and just put the relevant meme in it, it still has to be funny, but with a little bit of a foundation spin on it.
What is an XK end of universe thingy?
There are near infinite scenarios, given that there is no canon, but I will cover everything that is more or less accepted.
XK-Class End-of-world scenario: this more or less means that the entire world is wiped out from the universe (or humanity wiped out, depending on who you talk to).
ZK-Class End-of-reality scenario: this is a scenario in which the entire reality (timeline) is pretty much wiped from existance.
